Ruby Begonia’s a southern-inspired restaurant and lounge inspired by the spirit of a timeless Southern hostess: warm, lively, and full of personality. Our cooking draws from the dishes, chef and owner, Todd grew up eating, shaped by memory and family tradition, then reimagined with his own creative flair and thoughtful twists. The result is food that feels familiar in spirit, yet entirely its own.

The name carries a family dream. Todd and Jody Harris, the owners of Ruby Begonia’s, always said that if they ever opened something of their own, they would name it for Todd’s mother, Doris, who once imagined opening a flower shop called “Ruby Begonias.” This restaurant is a tribute to her creativity, her warmth, and the way she gathered people together.

After decades working in hospitality, Todd and Jody have brought everything they’ve learned and loved about caring for guests to your table: the unhurried pace of a good meal, genuine conversation, and the simple pleasure of sharing food made with intention.

Ruby Begonia’s has found a home in the charming town of Chittenango, a community known for celebrating the imaginative legacy of L. Frank Baum and his ruby-bright world of Oz. While it isn’t where the story began, it has become a place that feels welcoming and full of possibility, and they’re grateful to be part of its continuing story.

We create food meant for connection. Each plate is rooted in memory, crafted with care, and best enjoyed in good company.

Welcome to our table.
