whistle noise from the boiler, since it reaches temperature?
the boiler has started to make noise wistleing field of high temperature and it reaches just before it is cut. noise changes in pitch if the pump speed up or slow down. but I do not think the noise comes from the pump. I have tried to reduce the temperature of the boiler, and bleeding the rads and pump, all had no effect. I recently added a clean system in this system could be the cause. It is a gas fired cast heat exchanger aluminum boiler and pressure also have a power vent hot water tank, and standard plan of 3 port valve and average position of the pump terrier. Any ideas?
The cleaner has moved something that has moved into the heat exchanger, the whistle is the result of an obstruction part, the heatex do this when extended. Put a silencer on the boiler, and keep an eye on it, this can cause some serious damage.
