Eating with a spoon of old?
I'm writing a story where there's this character who is crazy about antiques. Not only them, but also reflect the use in their daily lives. Well, at least I think so. I wonder if he would eat the soup with a silver spoon in Victoria, what you need to do? Imagine, for decades the ladle of Victoria had been deleted with various disinfectants and tastes. What my character has to do to eat the soup with the silver spoon without risking your health?
Basically your character polish the spoon and then wash with soapy water. Polishing would get rid of any was accumulated residue on the spoon, and washing it in soapy water will get rid of the shine to silver. From a silver spoon is not porous, any contaminant can only be on the surface and are more easily removed.
